No More Difficult Time Than Now for Students

It was 11 years ago that Sarah and I last worked with students in the Chippewa Valley.  Much has changed in our lives as we adopted our son Jace (5), and our daughter Allison (2) was born while serving in Minnesota.  As we come back, I can't help but reflect on how much has changed in the lives of students.  I remember carrying a pager from the police department as I volunteered as a chaplain.  Just think, now we have cell phones, Ipads, Facebook, Twitter, blogs and something called cyber bullying.  In a wide open environment, one person can bully another and a world of people can see/read it immediately.  These are concepts, inventions and words that were nowhere in my world 11 years ago.  I have to wonder if now is the toughest time to be a teenager.

The good news is Christ tells us that "He is the same today, yesterday and forever."  It is our priviledge to share this truth with the teenagers we see everyday.  I am humbled to see God change the lives of teenagers right before my eyes.  All He asks of us is to be obedient to where and how He calls us to give, serve and pray.

I am grateful for all those who are making a difference by responding to that call.

Would you consider if God is asking YOU to join us in this effort?

There is so much work ahead of us, and we need each one of you to be involved.  The lives of this generation depend on it.
